F.E.A.R.
Ian Brown is the lead singer of English band The Stone Roses. In 2001 he released his third solo album Music of the Spheres, with F.E.A.R as the first single.
Almost every line in this song is made up of acronyms of the word “fear”. He was inspired to write the song after reading The autobiography of Malcolm X which talked of etymology (The study of the origin of words and the way in which their meanings have changed throughout history) and how one could control people through the use of language. From there he came up with hundreds of acronyms for fear.
F.E.A.R. is beautiful in it’s message and in its use of strings. It’s not a dancing around the kitchen kind of song. More like a floating one!
F.E.A.R was voted Best Single by his music peers at the British music industry Muso Awards in 2002.

For everything a reason
Forgive everybody and remember
Final eternity arouses reactions
Freeing excellence affects reality
Fallen empires are ruling

Fantastic expectations
Amazing revelations
Final execution and resurrection
Free expression as revolution
